Clean India Technology Week 2020 Received Excellent Response

Hundreds of high-level visitors queued up bright and early on Thursday morning at the registration counters for the Clean India Technology Week 2020. The event was inagurated by Dinesh D Jagdale, Joint Secretary Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), and Alok Kumar Tiwari, Principal Executive Director, EnHM, Railway Ministry, Government of India, among other dignitaries. 

Stalls at its four expos – the Clean India Show, Laundrex India Expo, Waste Technology Expo India and Car Care Expo, were manned by industry leaders from 16 countries, and visited by decision-makers from India as well as 25 other nations. The latest equipment and solutions in the cleaning sector were unveiled and explored, and several future deals were initiated. 

The Waste Technology conference was themed 'Strategising Waste C2C in Industries and Smart Cities'. Various practical ideas to convert waste to energy or compost were discussed, while the machines that can enable this were on display atthe Expo. The over 100 delegates who were present agreed that they had never attended a conference about waste that was so productive. 

The halls of the Bombay Exhibition Center resounded with speeches and lively panel discussions of the Digital Facility Management (DigiFM) conference, which included star speakers like Dr Shakti Chauhan, Head: Administration and Facilities, HDFC Bank, and Charu Thapar, Regional Director, Property & Asset Management (Asia-Pacific), JLL. 

On the sidelines of the conferences, two special sessions for the i-Professional Housekeepers' Association and the Hospitality Purchase Managers Forum were convened. A closed door session for select service providers also informed them about the needs and requirements of the Indian Railways, and how they can partner with it. 

On Friday, the Expos are expected to attract even larger crowds, while the day-long Conference on Hospital Infection Control will be thronged by microbiologists, hospital administrators and housekeepers, critical care specialists and other stakeholders.
