Central Bank of India observed Vigilance Awareness Week

Central Bank of India observed Vigilance Awareness Week w.e.f 28 th October to 02 nd November, 2019. During this week several programmes were organized to create awareness amongst the people about the preventive vigilance. Various competitions like elocution, quiz were organized in 53 schools and colleges along with 103 gram sabhas in several villages and pledge taken by our staff members in 179 Bank’s Branches. The theme given by Central Vigilance Commission, for this year ‘Integrity - A way of life’ was highly propagated through such activities and programmes using various mediums.
A seminar was organized during the week where in Shri Quaiser Khalid, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Maharashtra State delivered a very insightful lecture on the theme subject revolved around the moral values of a human being and beautifully explained that the main hurdle in India’s growth and development are linked with Integrity. Shri Khalid highlighted the importance of being vigilant in life and adopting Integrity as a way of life, is an individual’s moral responsibility. Earlier Shri S R Khatik, Field General Manager welcomed Shri Quaiser Khalid, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Maharashtra State and informed him about the various activities done by the Branches of Mumbai zone during this week. In the special activities A Human chain was formed in South Mumbai, Mumbai Suburban, Thane and Panaji areas. He said that our staff is very much aware about the aspects of Vigilance. Shri V.V. Natarajan, Senior Regional Manager delivered the vote of thanks.
