100 + Countries Set to Participate in 2nd WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine at Delhi

The Raja Ramdeo Anandilal Podar Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Mumbai, a constituent unit of the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, organized the Curtain Raiser Press Conference for the 2nd WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine (TM) – 2025, scheduled from 17th to 19th December 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO).
Addressing the media, Dr. R. Govind Reddy, Assistant Director (Ayu) In-Charge, along with Dr. Kuldeep Choudhary, Research Officer (Ayu) and Dr. Anil Avhad, Research Officer (Ayu), highlighted the vision, objectives, and global significance of the upcoming Summit.
The Summit aims to promote evidence-based integration of Traditional Medicine into global health systems and is expected to witness around 5,000 virtual participants from over 100 countries and nearly 700 in-person delegates, including participation from more than 20 Ministers and Vice Ministers of Health.
Key highlights include a large-scale Ayush Expo showcasing digital innovation, AI integration, AR/VR-based Panchakarma experience, herbal gardens, Ayush Aahar, and wellness infrastructure under the Heal in India initiative. The Summit will also feature bilateral discussions with over 20 countries, a Ministerial Round Table Dialogue, and a special side event on Ashwagandha focusing on scientific evidence, safety, and global regulatory pathways.
The Closing Ceremony on 19th December 2025 is expected to be graced by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, along with the WHO Director-General, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and other distinguished global dignitaries.
The Summit reflects India’s leadership in positioning Traditional Medicine as a key pillar of global health, sustainability, and holistic well-being
